Radionor Communications is a Norwegian company specializing in digital phased array radio technology. For the last 25 years we have been doing advanced R&D to make sure the user has the best radio in their hands.
We design and build systems for ultralong-range wireless connectivity, high-accuracy localization and resilient communication in contested environments.

We provide tactical broadband radios that deliver critical information and navigation over long distances and under severe conditions.
We build highly specialised products and systems for customers who need ultralong-range data links in the land, sea and air domains, as well as government users responsible for reliable, secure and resilient critical communications.
We have an excellent team of highly skilled RF engineers, antenna designers and software developers, and we are continuously hiring both new and experienced talent in programming, advanced RF design and antenna design.
What we do
When you need high data capacity, ultra-long range and jamming-resilient communication, the RADIONOR radios is the leading technology in broadband radios. The digital array technology will outperform conventional radios by:
- forming a very narrow, highly directional beam
- concentrates power for long-range robustness
- keeps the electromagnetic footprint low, reducing the risk of detection and interception
- increases resilience against interference and jamming
The compact, flat antenna panels make RADIONOR radios ideal for installations on aircraft, UAVs, ships, vehicles and soldiers. RADIONOR radios only needs power and ethernet connection and is significantly reducing the space needed to install a traditional radio by removing bulky power amplifiers and radios inside, for instance a vehicle.

We focus on delivering tactical broadband radios that keep working when other systems fail. Our technology has proven exceptionally reliable under severe conditions and is in operational use with several NATO countries and allies.

Export control
All products from Radionor Communications are controlled by the Norwegian Directorate for Export Control and Sanctions (DEKSA) and does require an approved license prior to being exported from Norway. No other jurisdiction in any other country applies to our products, including ITAR and EAR.
